Child finds dangerous substances in bathroom cabinet

Last night, a very dangerous incident happened in one of the houses in the city centre. A four-year-old boy got poisoned with a multiple sclerosis medicine. The boy was left alone at home early in the morning, when his mother decided to leave the flat for just a couple of minutes to visit her neighbour who lived downstairs. Nobody knows if that was the first time she had left her child alone at home. She was absent for fifteen minutes. During that time, her son opened the bathroom cabinet that had always been locked before. The mother had accidentally forgotten to lock it as she was leaving home in a hurry. The boy found the medicine and, curious of its taste, took it in his mouth. The doctors say that he must have swallowed several tablets. He hasn"t regained consciousness yet but his body is being constantly detoxicated. It is expected that he will get well within the next two weeks, but it was probably a narrow escape. The police have broadcast a special TV documentary on similar cases in which they are trying to warn parents not to leave any kind of dangerous substances in their bathroom cabinet or anywhere within their children"s reach. They also warn parents not to leave their little children unattended at home.
